Tyrone Johnson Celebrates 10 Years at Alexander Youth Network!
Happy 10-year “AYN*niversary” to Information Technology Network Administrator, Tyrone Johnson!
Tyrone started working at Alexander after moving from Dallas, TX. While he was working another job, he saw a posting for an IT position at Alexander.
“I did a little research on the agency for the interview’s sake and got the job. But once I got here and saw what Alexander was doing to help kids and as I started to understand the mission, I knew this was a great place to work.”
When asked about his most memorable moments during his career, Tyrone said, “Well, there have been lots of great moments here, winning employee of the quarter, completing the leadership institute, and even winning best costume one Halloween. Don’t ask me how that happened with that silly costume I was wearing, I’m sure there’s a picture somewhere. But my most memorable achievement here is helping keep our system up and running. I’m happy to say that with the help of my teammates, Ira Tolley, Steven Simmons, Jeanie Koechley, and under the leadership of Ron Ferri we have an up time somewhere in the range of 98% to 99%, which in my opinion is fantastic.”
“Whether it be at our physical locations, workers working remotely from home, or workers working in the field such as intensive in home my job is to make sure employees have the technology that they need to get their jobs done,” Tyrone said about the impact his role has. “I think as long as employees have the technical resources to do their jobs effectively it makes it easier for them to serve the children and families that Alexander serve as a whole.”
Tyrone, congratulations on reaching a decade of service! Your commitment and hard work have made a real impact. Here’s to many more years of making a difference in the world of IT!
