Brigette Horne Celebrates 15 Years at Alexander Youth Network!
Happy 15-year “AYN*niversary” to one of our nurses, Brigette Horne!
Brigette first came to Alexander after being offered a position by the nursing agency that she was employed with. She worked for over a year through the Agency and in 2008, decided to apply for a PRN position and has been with Alexander ever since! “I loved the culture here. Even when employed elsewhere, I have always picked up shifts here because I enjoy caring for children in need,” Brigette said.
“I am grateful for this journey which has given me the opportunity over to be a part of the healing process for so many children over the years,” Brigette said. “It’s the little things that I really enjoy like offering words of encouragement, a side hug, a pat on the back, a listening ear, or a simple smile and always letting the children know that nurses care.”
”What I love most about working at Alexander is the fact that we get to witness ‘the fruit of our labor’ by seeing the clients from admission until discharge and the difference that we have made in their lives. This is very rewarding,” Brigette said when asked what was her favorite part about working at Alexander.
