Alexander Youth Network is thrilled to announce that Brennon Graham, MBA, MHA will rejoin the organization as Chief Executive Officer in February 2025.  This moment marks an exciting homecoming for Brennon, who previously served as Executive Director of our subsidiary, The Relatives, from 2005-2016, and earlier held roles as a Business Relations Executive and Group Home Manager at Alexander from 2003 to 2005. His return ushers in a new chapter for Alexander as we continue our mission to provide hope, healing, and care for children and families in need.

A Proven Leader in Youth Services

Brennon brings over 25 years of experience in youth and family services, with an impressive track record of leadership and innovation. After his initial tenure at Alexander, he went on to lead The Relatives, a subsidiary of Alexander Youth Network, as its Executive Director for 11 years. During his time there, he successfully:

  • Expanded program offerings to serve more youth in need.
  • Built strategic and community partnerships.
  • Drove multimillion-dollar fundraising efforts to support vital programs.

Most recently, Brennon has served as President and CEO of Growing Home Southeast, a statewide foster care and family services agency in South Carolina. Under his leadership, the organization has provided comprehensive prevention and community-based services across multiple regions. Brennon’s impact extends beyond his executive roles, as he also chairs the board of the National Network for Youth and serves on the National Board for the Family Focused Treatment Association (FFTA).

Preparing for the Future

Brennon’s return comes as Alexander bids farewell to its current CEO, Craig Bass, who will retire in March 2025 after 37 years of dedicated service. Craig has been instrumental in shaping Alexander’s legacy, growing its programs from serving 38 children per year in 1993 to impact the lives of over 10,000 children annually. Brennon will overlap with Craig beginning in February, ensuring a seamless leadership transition.

“Brennon’s proven expertise in strategic growth, partnerships, and fundraising, combined with his deep understanding of Alexander’s mission and culture, make him uniquely suited to lead us into the future,” said Craig Bass. “I’m confident he will guide our organization forward with the same passion and dedication that have always defined our work.”

Looking Ahead

As Brennon steps into his new role, he is committed to collaborating with Alexander’s dedicated teams, donors, and community partners to expand our reach and strengthen the vital services we provide. His leadership will be instrumental in ensuring Alexander continues to be a beacon of hope for children and families across North Carolina and beyond.

“I am honored to return to Alexander Youth Network,” Graham shared. “This organization has always held a special place in my heart, and I look forward to building on its incredible legacy to create even greater opportunities for the children and families we serve. Alexander has always been a beacon of hope, and I am deeply committed to ensuring that its mission continues to thrive. Together, we will forge new partnerships, innovate our programs, and strengthen the support systems that empower young people and their families to succeed.”
