Giving Tuesday

Global day of giving

Give on Tuesday, Transform Lives

Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving that falls on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. This global generosity movement unleashes the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. On December 3rd, we hope you will join the Giving Tuesday movement by making a donation to Alexander Youth Network to support our Greenspon Critical Needs Fund.

We typically spend the holiday season with family and friends, being grateful for all that we have and looking forward to the year ahead. We have clothes to keep us warm, food on the table, and a roof over our head. However, that’s not always the case for the children being served at Alexander Youth Network. Many of the children that we serve come from low-income families. Their parents and guardians work hard every day to ensure they are providing everything their family needs. Sometimes, however, life presents challenges that can’t be predicted and it’s hard to make ends meet. They have to make difficult decisions between paying rent and utilities or purchasing jackets and warm clothes for the colder months.

At Alexander, we believe an integrated treatment approach to mental health is the best way to address children’s needs. We want to treat the whole child, which also means being able to provide assistance when a critical need arises. The Greenspon Critical Needs Fund is a resource that our therapists can utilize when they have a child whose family is struggling with a basic need. This fund allows our families to receive the relief they need.

Many of the things that are requested through our Greenspon Critical Needs Fund are everyday items and expenses that we take for granted. This Giving Tuesday, we hope you will consider supporting Alexander Youth Network with a donation to our Greenspon Critical Needs Fund. The impact that it has on our kids and families is immeasurable.

Help us support our children and their families with a gift to Alexander.
