Holidays at Alexander Youth Network
Help us bring joy to the children in our programs during the holiday season! We have a variety of ways individuals, groups, and families can get involved and make the season a little brighter for a child in need. The holidays can be a difficult time for kids in our programs with feelings of loneliness, uncertainty, disappointment, and other big emotions. Thanks to the generosity and kindness of our friends in the community, we help our kids create special holiday memories and feel special and loved.
Give a Child a Gift
Make holiday wishes come true by being an Angel Network sponsor this season! Sponsors are assigned a child in one of our programs and shop for the items on their wish list. Wish lists include toys and games, along with essential items such as clothing and personal care items.

Purchase a gift from our Amazon wish list and help spread holiday cheer! By purchasing a gift from the wish list, we ensure the children in our programs have something special under the tree, even if they come into a program right before the holiday. These gifts can also be used throughout the year for special occasions such as birthdays, accomplishing a personal goal, or to make a child feel welcomed and loved when they are admitted to our residential program without any personal comfort items of their own.

Gift Cards for a Cause
Gift cards to Amazon, Walmart, or Target are very helpful during the holiday season to ensure every child gets a gift over the holidays and throughout the year. Cards to fast food restaurants also make great gifts for our older youth. Email Ashley Nieves at anieves@aynkids.org for more information.
Volunteer
We can always use the help of volunteers to spread holiday cheer by creating fun events for our kids, donating holiday meals, gift wrapping, decorating, and more to help our kids feel special and our staff feel appreciated during this holiday season. Email Ashley Nieves at anieves@aynkids.org for more information.
Holiday Tree Lighting
Our Annual Tree Lighting is Sunday, December 8th, from 6:00 – 7:30 pm! This is a fun, free family event where we will kick off the holiday season with our kids in our residential program. There will be games, cookies, hot chocolate, and a special visit from Santa! If you would like to attend or volunteer, please email Kaitlyn Dixon by December 2nd at kcoppadge@aynkids.org.
Honor Someone with A Donation
Make a donation in honor of someone this holiday season and we’ll send them a card letting them know a gift has been made in their name. You can purchase an honor card online by clicking the donate button. Check “This gift is in honor…” box and also check the “Please notify…” box. Make sure you include the person’s name and mailing address, and we will mail the card for you. If you want to purchase multiple cards or if you’d like to pick them up to send yourself, contact Kaitlyn Dixon at kcoppadge@aynkids.org.
Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving that falls on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. This global generosity movement unleashes the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. On December 3rd, we hope you will join the Giving Tuesday movement by making a donation to Alexander Youth Network to support our Greenspon Critical Needs Fund. The Greenspon Critical Needs Fund is a resource that our therapists can utilize when they have a child whose family is struggling with a basic need. This fund allows our families to receive the relief they need.
