Ashley Sparks Celebrates 10 Years at Alexander Youth Network!
Happy 10-year “AYN*niversary” to our Facility-Based Crisis Executive Director, Ashley Sparks, MSW, LCSW-A.
Ashley first began working with Alexander as a part-time office manager in our Southern Pines office. At first, Ashley wasn’t sure if her career in human services would be a long-term one or short-term one. That quickly changed when she realized Alexander’s philosophy on services and watched firsthand the impact that we have on children.
“As my passion for serving our population grew, so did my roles within Alexander Youth Network,” Ashely said. “I was supported in the agency through graduate school and have had the wonderful opportunity to learn a lot of the different roles within our services array.”
When asked what she loves most about working at Alexander, Ashley said, “I love working with a team of professionals that are competent and dedicated to changing a child’s circumstance. I love watching a child start to learn to trust. I love helping to equip our younger staff with the knowledge that they can have an impact, without creating power-struggles. love watching our children grow and change into ways that are better for them. I love that Alexander Youth Network is not an agency that is afraid of advocating for our youth and families.”
“I am so grateful for our leadership’s ability to identify strengths within the agency and how that provides opportunities for better, more supportive services,” Ashley said when asked what she’s most grateful for during her time at Alexander. “I am so proud to be a part of an agency that puts the quality care of our children above money and politics.”
Ashley, your vital role at Alexander Youth Network is truly appreciated. Thank you for all you do for our agency and the families we serve. Congratulations!
